Burning River Blues is a community of blues dancers in the Greater Cleveland area focused on spreading the love and art of traditional blues music and its associated dance styles, while honoring the historic roots of blues as a Black American art form. We employ local artists in the blues community and activate neighborhood community centers and dance spaces in Northeast Ohio. Our goals are to create community, teach connection and musicality, and spread awareness while learning together with the community about the deep history and culture of blues music and dance.
