The Christian Women's Fellowship and The Prayer Shawl Ministry              

The Christian Women's Fellowship (CWF) is an important ministry at Disciple's Christian Church. Every woman who attends our church is eligible to be a member. CWF provides opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship, and creative ministries that enable women to develop a sense of personal responsibility for the whole mission of Jesus Christ.
CWF meets once a month - usually at the church. We share devotions, book studies, and enjoy social events.
We have several fund raising activities each year. Proceeds from those events both help send our youth to church camp in the summer and purchase items needed by the church.
We also have an ongoing fund raiser; we sell Gift Cards each Sunday. They may be used to purchase groceries, lunches, dinners, home improvements, etc.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry at Disciples began in February 2010, inspired by Janet Bristow and Victoria Galo (creators of the Prayer Shawl Ministry). The Ministry is made up of volunteer knitters and crocheters who turn yarn into wraps that are interwoven with prayers. The shawls are given to those who are suffering in anyway - from illness, unemployment, etc.
As Disciples, the Prayer Shawl Ministry ministers to all of God's children who are in need. To request a prayer shawl for a friend or family member, click here.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry happily welcomes new members! If you don't know how to knit or crochet, please come anyway. There are many members who can teach these skills.
Meetings are every Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel.
