Adult Ministries
Ministry happens in a church because of the involvement of its members. Only some of our current Adult Ministries are listed below. New ones will continue to be created as the Holy Spirit leads people to come together to start them.
-
Sunday morning activities include Bible studies, speakers, presentations, small group studies and our intergenerational Coffee Fellowship
-
Women gather each month as The Christian Women's Fellowship - CWF
-
Men get together each month for programs and book studies as Men of Disciples
-
A monthly Book Club meets in the Fireside Library
-
Involvement in Outreach Ministries such as the Heights Emergency Food Center, housed in our building, and the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Cleveland are ongoing
- Mission trips to such places as New Orleans and Cedar Rapids are a mix of adults and youth
-
There are intergenerational events that bring us all together for education, for fun, and to make projects both for ourselves and for our "Members-at-Home"
-
We have a variety of intergenerational fellowship events where we get to know each other and strengthen our faith family
-
Groups such as our Long-Range Facilities Planning Team come together when a need arises
-
Individuals and groups look after our property - planting flowerbeds, weeding, etc.
-
Our own Meet the Neighbors free community meal is the result of one member's passion for feeding the hungry in our neighborhood - and the willingness of Disciples to share that passion and enable her vision to become reality
Yes, Ministry happens - and happens in abundance here. What is God calling you to begin?
